New conveyor belts don’t stretch to fit on the conveyor system like a rubber band in one continuous loop. They must be spooled around the conveyor system and properly spliced by a qualified journeyman or technician* to ensure an exact, long-lasting fit. Our belt splicing products are widely used in industries like mining (including underground systems, rock belts, and above-ground aggregate handling), the sand and gravel industry, and foundries. The Blair Rubber product line also meets MSHA standards.

What You Need to Know.

Many customers know exactly what they need for the type of belt they’re installing. However, selecting the right belt splicing materials starts with a few key details including (but is not limited to):

Belt Dimensions

Including Cover Gauges

Belt Type & Category

Compound Characteristics

Polymer Type

*It cannot be overemphasized that a qualified technician must complete the belt splicing operation. An improperly spliced belt may fail, potentially resulting in serious injury or loss of life, as well as production downtime or damaged products.
